Slack: notifications and the @Adside bot

Routine results in your channels, plus an agent your whole team can talk to in Slack.

The Slack integration does two jobs: it delivers routine results and performance digests into a channel, and (optionally) it puts the Adside agent in the room, answering questions when someone @mentions it.

Connect Slack

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations, connect Slack, and authorize your workspace.

  2. Pick the default channel for this client. Routines post there unless a routine sets its own channel.

The Slack agent

  1. Set it up under Settings > Slack agent: bind the channel where the bot should live.

  2. Anyone in the channel can ask questions by mentioning @Adside. The bot answers in a thread and keeps following the thread without needing to be mentioned again.

  3. If the bot has not joined the channel automatically, run /invite @Adside in Slack once.

Answers come back formatted for Slack, tables and media included. The Slack agent runs with a restricted toolset compared to in-app chat: it is built for questions and reporting, not for launching things from a channel.

Agency pattern: one shared channel per client, with their team and yours, the weekly routine posting into it, and the bot on hand for "what did we spend on X?" questions. Clients get answers without ever opening a dashboard.
