Ads tell you what a competitor wants the market to believe. Social listening tells you what the market actually thinks. Adside watches X, Reddit and G2 for your tracked companies and summarizes the discussions: complaints, praise, feature requests and the angles competitors are testing in public.

Where to find it

  • Open a tracked company in the Ad library and check its social panel alongside its ads.

  • Ask the agent: "What are people saying about [competitor] on Reddit?" or "What do G2 reviews complain about most for [competitor]?"

  • Enable or disable each source per client under Settings > Integrations > Data sources (X, Reddit, G2, plus Firecrawl for general web reading).

Why it matters for ads

This is not keyword alerting; it reads the threads and gives you the substance. The most reliable ad angles come from real customer language: the complaint a competitor's users repeat is a hook for your next campaign. Findings are saved into the client's Brain, so the agent uses them when it writes briefs.
